The Town Board of Thurston will hold a public hearing on May 20, 2026 at 6:45 p.m. at the Town Hall located at 7578 County Route 333, Thurston, NY. The purpose of this public hearing is to present Local Law # 5 which will be titled “A Local Law Establishing a Cryptocurrency Mining Operations and Data Processing Center Two (2) Year Moratorium”. Copies of the Local Law are posted on our webpages under “More” and “Local Laws” or are available from the Town Clerk during regular business hours.

Grievance Day for Town of Thurston property owners will be Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. This will be held in the downstairs meeting room of the Town Hall. The entrance is behind the town hall.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Thurston will receive sealed bids for the purchase of one (1) used Pickup Truck. Specifications:  2020 or newer preferred, gasoline, 4-wheel drive, under 80,000 miles preferred, extended cab, tow package optional, excellent working condition, clean title, no major rust, color preferred Red.  Questions regarding the specifications should be directed to Alan Crooker, Highway Superintendent, at 607-776-6507 during regular business hours.  Sealed bids may be mailed or hand delivered by May 20, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. to the Town Clerk or Highway Superintendent during regular business hours and must be clearly marked SEALED BID – USED TRUCK PURCHASE.  The Town of Thurston reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept any bid it deems to be in the best interest of the Town of Thurston. It also reserved the right to have the vehicle inspected by a third-party mechanic prior to final award.
